About
About this Prosper referral line
This site does two things: it explains water damage in Prosper homes in plain language, and it gives you a phone number that connects to an independent local contractor.
What it is
A referral service, not a restoration company
Water Damage Restoration Prosper is a call-in referral service. Your call is connected to an independent local contractor who speaks with you on that call. We do not perform the work ourselves, do not employ restoration crews and do not send anyone to your home. Anything you arrange is between you and that contractor.
This site shows no reviews or awards, because none have been verified, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.
What to expect
What this site will and will not do
- Explain the usual sequence of water damage work
- List the public sources behind its information
- Connect your call to an independent contractor
- Never ask you to fill in a form or collect your details for later contact
- Never promise response times, results or insurance outcomes
Doing your own checking
How to check whoever you speak with
Texas has no single restoration licence, so ask what applies to the work in question. Plumbers are licensed by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners [1]. Mold assessment and remediation is licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, which publishes when notification and licensing rules apply [2]. Ask about training to the IICRC S500 standard for water damage [3], get scope in writing, and ask for moisture readings.
